Thailand celebrates 82 birthday of king 5th December 2009

December 5 each year is regarded as a very significant day in Thailand, as it marks His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s birthday. This year His Majesty turns 82. Thai people celebrate this auspicious occasion on a grand scale to show gratitude to their beloved monarch.

During 63 years of the reign, His Majesty the King has dedicated works very hard his life for the well being of all Thai people. More than 3,000 Royal Development Projects, ranging from agriculture, environment to health, transportation and irrigation, have been initiated by His Majesty to help increase the quality of life of his people. The philosophy of “Sufficiency Economy,” stressing on moderation as a main objective, was introduced by His Majesty as guidance for society in dealing with challenges arising from globalization and has been regarded by the UNDP as keys for human development.

This year, His Majesty called on all members of the country’s key institutions and the Thai people to perform their duty with sincerity, true intentions and honesty, and to put the benefit of the country above self interest.

“Stability, prosperity and peace can occur only when all Thai people know their duty and fulfill their responsibilities,” His Majesty the King said in a speech from the throne on Saturday, his 82nd birthday.

His Majesty thanked everyone for their best wishes for his happiness, strength and good health.

He blessed all Thai people and wished them happiness.

After the King delivered his address he returned by motorcade to Siriraj Hospital.

While fireworks lit up the sky in honor, thousands muaythai fan of well-wishers hold candles, waving Thai flags cheered, and chanted "Song Phra Charoen" or "Long Live the King" at the muaythai stadium 's Sanam Luang grounds (temporary) near both the Royal Palace and at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also known as Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram, so celebrated by muaythai compettion 3 big match.

Buakaw Por.Pramuk "The white lotus " is one of muaythai fighter lost on move in event welther weight(70kg/145lbs) of the K-1 WorldMAX championship 2009. New champion Giorgo Petrosyan

This event will use K-1 rules (K-1 is quite difference from muaythai rules ). The white lotus is a former K-1 WorldMAX Champion two time 2004, 2006. This time he have opportunity capture three time again if he able pass best 4 fighter, including with Yuya Yamamoto(Japan), Giorgo Petrosyan (Italia), and Andy Souwer(Holland) Event start Monday 26 oct. 2009 venues at Yokohama Arena, KANAGAWA, Japan


Amateur MuaythaiThe Asian Martial Arts Games is a multi sport event developed by the OCA (Olympic Council of Asia) to create the opportunity for athletes to compete in various disciplines of martial arts. This is a new concept as the Olympics and other games do not recognise the increasingly popular variations which are practiced around the world. The first ever Asian Martial Arts Games are hosted by Bangkok, Thailand on the 25th April until the 3rd May 2009.

As of now, there are 37 countries such as Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, People's Republic of Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea (North), Korea (South), Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan,Thailand, East Timor, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen, including with 724 male and 523 female athletes to participate in the 1st Asian Martial Arts Games. The best athletes chosen by the respective NOCs will be competing in individual and team events under the technical directions of the International Federations / the Asian Federations concerned and under the overall supervision and authority of the Olympic Council of Asia.
